LUSM Delegation Attended AAPBS 2019 Annual Conference in Vietnam

From Nov. 5 to 7, the AAPBS 2019 Annual Conference was held in Ho Chi Minh City , Vietnam. The LSUM delegation, including Associate Dean Miao Xuliang, Youth Professor Wei Xuhua, and Deputy Director of International Cooperation Office Yan Xuefei, joined in the conference and introduced the preparation for the AAPBS 2020 Academic Conference to be organized by LUSM in 2020. 

The current conference, themed at “Asian leadership in global business education: a new era?”, has gathered together 74 participants from business and management schools, and enterprises in 17 nations and regions all over the world. During the 2-day sessions, all participants shared thoughts and ideas on the topics including a) Global & Asian Leadership: what international firms expect as soft skills, b) Vietnam and Emerging Asian Countries: characteristics of Asian management styles, c) Differentiations in Business education in Asia: impact of cultural factors on regional knowledge, d) How to develop more regional integrations between AAPBS Business Schools and Schools of Management, e) International relationship in Higher Management education and How firms could inspire Business Schools in new model of cooperation.

During the conference, LUSM delegates have reported to the AAPBS council about the preparation for the AAPBS 2020 Academic Conference, and extended the warmest invitation to all participants for the Conference at the closing ceremony.

LUSM has been the APPBS member institution since 2005 as one of the initial members. During the AAPBS 2019 Academic Conference in Japan, Dean He Wensheng, on behalf the School, submitted the application to host the 2020 Academic Conference and won the right successfully after the deliberation of the AAPBS Council. The 2020 Academic Conference will be held in Dunhuang, China from May 27 to 29, 2020.
