Paper of LUSM Undergraduate Students Won 1st Prize on the 2nd Forum on Academic and Professional Practice of Cross-strait College Students

On 22nd November, the 2nd Forum on Academic and Professional Practice of Cross-strait College Students was held in China University of Labor Relations (CULR) in Beijing. The forum was co-organized by CULR and the China Association of Labor Economics with the aim of strengthening the cross-Straits communications and exchanges in the field of human resource management and the cultivation of application-oriented talents, as well as improving students’ academic and professional quality. LUSM faculty, Dr. Zheng Gang was invited to chair the forum.

Since the call-for-papers was published in June 2019, more than 200 papers, including 70 academic papers of students from universities like Beijing Normal University, Central South University, Ming Chuan University was received. After the selection, 16 papers have been awarded first prizes and were allowed to present. The paper, Multilevel Study of the Motivating Factors of Top Managers’ Turnover in Listed Companies, written by LUSM undergraduate, Kong Zheng and Yang Mo, advised by Professor Wei Xuhua won the first prize, meanwhile, paper of Bai Yue, Ding Kechuan, Yue Mengdi, advised by Dr. Zheng Gang won the second prize.

By participating in the event, LUSM students have had the chance to present their research results, to communicate with students from universities on both sides, and to demonstrate the research ability and academic quality of our students, which also shows the attention the school has paid to undergraduate students’ academic research ability training.
