LUSM Held Workshop on AACSB Accreditation Training and Curriculum Construction (Phase Ⅲ&Ⅳ)

On the afternoon of December 2nd and 4th, the workshops on AACSB Accreditation Training and Curriculum Construction (phase Ⅲ&Ⅳ) were held in room 204 of LUSM. The workshops were presided over by Yanhai Zhao, director of international accreditation office. About 30 teachers participated in the two workshops.

With a full understanding of the training content on LUSM’s current accreditation progress, business standards of AACSB and the construction process and specific requirements of AOL, the participants put forward concrete questions and suggestions one by one. In terms of curriculum management, it is suggested to standardize and consolidate the name, content, assignment and assessment rubrics of courses in/among degree programs, and to organize course observation workshops with the application of Blackboard. As for the faculty qualification and intellectual contribution, it is suggested to formulate policy to combine the School’s assessment of faculty performance with the relative standards of AACSB. In the aspect of propaganda, it is suggested to update the School’s accreditation process and share advance experience with the faculty via email, brochure, WeChat or announcement in the general meeting etc., to enrich the channels and ways for stakeholders to participate in the accreditation.

4 workshops on AACSB accreditation training and curriculum construction were held, with participation of more than 60 faculty, to encourage their engagement and contribution in the alignment with AACSB business standards so as to accelerate the progress of AACSB accreditation. The international accreditation office will continue to coordinate the schedule to involve all the faculty in the training workshop, and cooperate with the teaching departments, research institutes, IT and laboratory service center to standardize and upload the teaching materials on the Blackboard for a smooth process of curriculum management and AOL implement.
