Delegate of LUSM Attended AMBA and BGA Global Conference 2021

From May 10 to 12, the AMBA&BGA Global Conference 2021 was held online. Associate professor Yanhai Zhao, associate dean of LUSM was invited to attend.

Taking Global Digital Transformation and the Future of Business as its key theme, the conference sets 17 keynote presentations and 16 panel discussions, with other sessions including roundtable collaborations, meetings, and workshops, appealing to almost 400 participants and delegates from business schools, partners and sponsors worldwide. Together with 74 speakers, Mr. Andrew Main Wilson, CEO, Prof. Bodo Schlegelmilch, Chair, and Prof. Zhongming Wang, International Adviser for China of AMBA and BGA, were engaged and delivered analyses and discussions of the condition and future trend on topics of lifelong learning, Silk-Road entrepreneurship, and worldwide partnerships, as well as hot issues relating climate change, sustainability and business education’s responsibility.

Mr. Andrew Main Wilson and Prod. Bodo Schlegelmilch delivered welcome speeches

Our delegate was actively engaged in almost 20 sessions of the conference, and have focused on the panel discussion themed on 30 years of MBA education and best practices in China. During the discussion, Prof. Zhongming Wang, International Adviser for China of AMBA and BGA, introduced the progress in the past 30 years of China's MBA education in the fields of high-quality faculty team building, curriculum upgrading and innovation, talent cultivation, industrial partnership, and international activities engagement. Prof. Fangruo Chen, dean of Antai College of Economics and Management of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Prof. Fan Wang, Dean of Business School of Sun Yat-sen University, and Prof. Jiang Wei, dean of School of Management of Zhejiang University, were respectively shared the high-standard development strategy and best practices of MBA education in each university over the past 30 years and expressed their wishes for the next 30 years’ development of MBA education.

Discussion themed on 30 years of MBA education and best practices in China

The conference provides a platform for schools engaging accreditation worldwide to exchange insights and share experiences, which is of guiding significance for our school to understand the development of new technologies and the digital transformation of international accreditation. LUSM will continue to learn from the experience of advanced business schools, track the trends of business education and accreditation to make full preparation for the AMBA and BGA joint accreditation in 2022.
