Students from LUSM Achieved Outstanding Results in HRU8 Northwest Region Competition

From October 14th to 15th, the 8th HRU & GuoPinXingDong (National Action for Student Employment) Northwest Contest on Human Resource (hereafter “the HRU8” or “the competition”) was held in Ningxia University. Under the guidance of Dr. Zheng Gang, director of the Department of Organizational Management of LUSM, Chen Yijun, Hu Jun, Ren Mengyuan, Wang Xinyu, Zhou Hexin and Zhang Yuan, undergraduates of grade 2020 majoring in Human Resource Management successfully advanced to the national competition with the score of first place in the region’s team competition.

HRU is a national competition for human resource and management related majors sponsored by China university of Labor Relations, with the participation of national-level societies such as the China Association for Labor Studies and China Association of Labor Economics. By sessions such as practice design, digitalized HR practice, case analysis, workforce practice, leaderless group discussion, and HR-English, etc., to simulate and solve professional HR-related issues that may occur in the actual workplace and practical operation skills.

HRU8 is divided into six tracks in practice design, case analysis, leaderless group discussion and workplace practice, etc., and the participating teams are encouraged to preparing for the competition as a team. During the competition, LUSM’s delegates have actively exchanged ideas and learned from contestants from other universities in the Northwest Region under the guidance of Dr. Zheng Gang, which fully demonstrated the knowledge reserves and potentials of the human resources students of our college.

As a commonweal competition with international impact for educational intent, HRU has been successfully held for seven consecutive years, with a total of more than 80,000 participating students from over 500 colleges, schools and universities, and almost 800 judges from a total of more than 600 enterprises participating in the competition to provide guidance for the contestants to improve their professional skills. LUSM have been actively participating in the HRU since its second competition in 2016, and have achieved outstanding results in team and single events with grand prizes. Themed on “Building a New Foundation for Innovative and Practical Talents by Establishing Momentum, Talent and Education”, the competition provided a platform for students major in human resource management to demonstrate their innovative ability and learning outcomes, and promotes the improvement of the students' innovative and practical ability and the competitiveness in employment.
