MBA Students From LUSM Achieved Outstanding Results in BSG

Lately, the integrated online business strategy simulation course run by School of Management, Lanzhou University(LUSM) and University of Nevada, Reno drew to a successful close.

The course was organized between September 01, 2016 and November 23, 2016. Under the instruction of A/Prof. Xin He and A/Prof. Yanhai Zhao, 60 MBA and IMBA students from Lanzhou, Shenzhen and Shanghai campus of LUSM has participated in the game and competed with 48 MBA students from Reno. After two rounds of simulation and 10 rounds of official competition, students from LUSM successfully completed simulation tasks of enterprise operation and confrontation, and made a number of achievements in group and individual events

ACCEL led by Jianfeng Zhou, MBA students from Lanzhou Campus, DYNAMIC led by Wangyang Zhang, MBA student from Shenzhen Campus, BEST RUNNER led by Zhiyan Zhao, MBA student from Lanzhou Campus, and FABULOUS FLASH led by IMBA student Min Zeng won the top four prizes in Industry 1. C KUNFU PANDA led by Yexin Zhang, MBA student from Shenzhen Campus took second in Industry 2. In addition, the scores of overall operating performance and ROE of Jianfeng Zhou's group and Yexin Zhang's group have entered the world TOP 100 list several times.

During the business strategy simulation and confrontation competition, all the participating teams and teachers prepared carefully. MBA students, regardless of campus and grade interact and help each other actively. They used distance learning and communication methods such as QQ and WeChat, overcame difficulties and obstacles in language, time, Knowledge integration, rules of the game and the use of platform, etc., sacrificed their rest time and holidays, demonstrated the spirit of LUSM, and explored the construction of cross-cultural, cross-border and cross-project professional degree integrated curriculum, as well as practical learning methods, which has achieved good results.

The MBA Center of LUSM will continue to explore integrated courses, strategic simulation exercises, virtual classrooms and multi-project interactive competitions with foreign cooperating institutions and professional organizations, in order to provide MBA students with a better learning experience, and MBA teachers and stakeholders with a better and more efficient interactive platform.
