On May 6 and 7, 2017, the 3rd First Cup Gansu University Students Accounting Position and Tax Skills Competition and the 3rd Seentao Cup Gansu University Students EPR Competition hosted by the Department of Education of Gansu Province and organized by School of Management, Lanzhou University were held in Lanzhou University. First Software and Seentao Technology Co., Ltd provided technical support to the two games respectively. 670 contestants from 33 colleges and universities in Gansu Province under the guidance of 160 advisors have competed in ERP Simulation Game, accounting information processing, accounting position and tax skills, which allowed students to show their comprehensive practice ability.

On the morning of May 6, the opening ceremony was held at auditorium of student activity center, Lanzhou University. LI Yumin, Vice President of Lanzhou University, ZHANG Xiaodong, Director of Higher Education, Department of Education of Gansu Province, GUO Mingzhou, Deputy Director of Educational Administration Office, Lanzhou University, HE Wensheng, Dean of School of Management, Lanzhou University, officials from colleges and universities in Gansu Province and heads from First and Seentao attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was chaired by WANG Xuejun, Associate Dean of School of Management, Lanzhou University.

Vice president LI Yumin expressed his hope to strengthen the cooperation between institutions and enterprises, to continue to maintain high-quality cooperation and exchanges among universities in Gansu through the competition, to promote the reform of teaching, innovation and development in higher institutions, and to cultivate more outstanding college students equipped with rich theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

Dean He introduced the achievements in teaching reform LUSM has made in recent years and hoped to take this opportunity to give full play to the students and instructors, to set up examples for students and faculty in colleges and universities in Gansu Province, to promote the practice with theory, to verify practice with theory and to lay a more solid foundation for training of students with innovation spirit and entrepreneurship .

The competition was composed of team events and individual events. During the two days, the contestants competed fiercely in 4 events with great teamwork, skilled performance and good self-possession. In the end, 2 first prizes, 3 second prizes and 5 third prizes came out in ERP bachelor group and vocational group; 4 first prizes, 8 second prizes and 12 third prizes were awarded in accounting informationization individual event; 2 first prize, 4 second prizes, and 6 third prizes were given in accounting position bachelor and vocational group; 2 first prizes, 4 second prizes and 6 third prizes were awarded in tax skills individual event. In the meanwhile, the first winner of ERP simulation game will represent Gansu Province and attend the national game.

LIU Weisheng, Director of Educational Administration Office, Lanzhou University attended the closing ceremony held on the afternoon of May 7 and delivered a speech. He said that the carrying out of college students skills competition is an effective way to improve the level of professional practice of students and LZU will continue to promote the reform of teaching practice and to strengthen the training of students innovative ability.

It is reported that it is the third time LUSM has organized the First Cup and the first time organized Seentao Cup. The number of participating team and contestants have reached a record high. In order to ensure a smooth competition and to create a good environment, the staff and student volunteers of LUSM, under the guidance of organizing committee and leaders of LUSM, have began the preparation of the competition more than two months ago, including registration, stadium decoration, process monitoring, etc. to ensure that all aspects go on smoothly.

In addition, the rules of the competitions were created with reference to industry standards and has introduced new standards, new norms.
