Forum on Social Practice in Colleges held at LZU

On July 2th, the Forum on Social Practice in Colleges co-organized by School of Management, Lanzhou University and Department of Social and Policy Sciences, Yuan Ze University (YZU) was held at Lanzhou University. Delegation from YZU including Professor Chiou, Chang-tay, dean of College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Professor Hsieh, Deng Wang, former dean, Professor Liu I-Chun, associate dean and head of Department of Social and Policy Sciences, Wang, Chia-Huang, dean of student affairs, LI, Chun-Hao, deputy chief of global affairs office and 5 postgraduate students has attended the forum. LUSM Dean Wensheng He, Associate Dean Xuejun Wang, Assistant Dean Yanhai Zhao and Associate Professor Feifei Shan, Fei Sun as well as student representatives of LUSM have participated in the activity. The event was chaired by Dean Wang.

At the welcome ceremony, Dean He extended warm welcome to the Taiwan delegation. He gave a brief introduction of LZU and LUSM and hope the two sides could take the event as an opportunity to expand and deepen cooperation in the fields of faculty and student exchange, joint research and joint conference. Dean Chiou expressed his gratitude for the reception of LUSM and his expectation of realizing stronger cooperation, resource sharing, complementary advantages and mutual benefit.

After the ceremony, the faculty of two universities shared their research achievements on social practice in colleges and together with the students, they exchanged views on issues as university with community service, aging society, local cultural development and sustainable development.
