Recently, under the guidance of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and the All-China Students’ Federation, China Youth Daily, New Oriental Education and Technology Group, and China Foundation for Youth Entrepreneurship and Employment, the results of the 2022 "China's College Students' Star of Self-Improvement" were announced, and Zhou Hexin, an undergraduate student of the 2020 class majoring in human resource management in LUSM, was honored with the title of "China's College Students' Star of Self-Improvement". Zhou Hexin, a 2020 undergraduate majoring in human resource management of our college, was honored with the title of "Star of Self-improvement of Chinese College Students" in the category of Patriotism and Virtue.

Zhou Hexin, as a member of the Communist Youth League, is the head of Lanzhou University's College Students' Backbone Theoretical Propaganda Troupe, and has taken serving teachers and students around her and being a good role model as her mission, and telling a good Chinese story and the story of Lanzhou University as her own responsibility. Since 2020, she has created more than 20 high-quality session courses, and carried out more than 30 sessions on and off campus, covering more than 60,000 people. At the same time, Zhou Hexin pays attention to the cultivation of her comprehensive quality and realizes all-round development. She has presided over and participated in 3 national projects and 3 school-level projects, 3 entrepreneurship competition projects, 2 volunteer service projects and 2 summer practice projects, and was awarded the third prize of the National College Students' English Competition, the gold medal of the Eighth China International "Internet Plus" College Students' Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition (Gansu Provincial Sub-competition), Gansu Summer Social Practice Excellent Brand Project, the Bronze Award of the Fifth Gansu Provincial Youth Volunteer Service Project Competition, excellent network culture studio, university-level excellent thesis in summer practice social practice, university-level excellent team member of summer practice social practice, one-star volunteer, and other honors; was awarded the Lanzhou University "Top Ten Communist Youth League Members", "Top Ten Outstanding Student Club Leader", "Second-class Scholarship of Outstanding Student", "Model Student", "Outstanding Communist Youth League Member", "Outstanding Communist Youth League Cadre", and other honorary titles and awards.

It is reported that the 2022 "Star of Self-improvement of Chinese College Students" is themed with "Excitement & Courage", aiming to set up role models of contemporary college students, and to encourage the young people of the new era. A total of 15 students from Lanzhou University were honored.
