Prof. Chung-Tzer Liu in Soochow University Visited LUSM

On April 3 morning, Chung-Tzer Liu, director of Soochow University Extension and professor of Department of Business Administration, visited School of Management, Lanzhou University to negotiate personnel and academic exchanges. Deputy Dean He Wensheng received the guest in the meeting room and both sides conducted in-depth discussions on corporation plan in related fields.

Prof. Chung-Tzer Liu introduced the general information about the School of Business, Soochow University, especially the program of summer institute, program of self-paying trainee in fall semester and program of executive management seminar. Prof. Chung-Tzer Liu expressed his expectation of the two School’s exchange and cooperation and expected that Dean Bao Guoxian could visit Soochow University during his visit to Taiwan in May.

Prof. He Wensheng expressed his warm welcome to Prof. Chung-Tzer Liu and he introduced the basic information of Lanzhou University to Prof Chung-Tzer Liu. Prof. He Wensheng conveyed the cooperation intentions in undergraduate exchange, self-paying professional master’ s program, exchanging visiting scholars and advanced research talent training.
Finally, both sides reached consensus on student exchange and faculty exchange, ready to sign cooperation agreement after deciding details.
The School of Business, Soochow University was established in 1968. The Business School currently consists of six departments including Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Business Mathematics, International Business, Financial Engineering and Actuarial Mathematics, and Computer and Information Management. Undergraduate and masters programs are offered in all six departments along with the doctoral program being offered in the Economics Department. In 2007, the School of Business has established EMBA (Executive Master of Business Administration), as to cultivate business professions with global views and Global Business Program has also been successfully established in 2008. Currently, there are almost 6,000 students enrolled. The School of Business has over 120 full time and 200 part time instructors with 80 percent holding doctoral degrees.
