The Delegation form Aston University visited LUSM

The delegation from Aston University, led by Geoff Parkes, the Associate Pro-Vice Chancellor International (China and East Asia), visited LUSM from Jan.3 to 5, 2018. In the morning of Jan.4, He Deyan, the Assistant to President of Lanzhou University, met the delegation at Qiyun Building, with the accompany of school leaders. 

He Deyan extended the warm welcome to the delegation, and made a brief introduction of Lanzhou University regarding its history, discipline development, international cooperation, and so on. By taking this opportunity, He Deyan hoped that the Aston Business School and LUSM could carry out comprehensive cooperation in joint program, faculty and students exchanges, joint research, etc.

Geoff Parkes appreciated the reception of Lanzhou University, and responded that Aston University has always valued the cooperation with Chinese universities, and is honored to have this opportunity to establish cooperative relationship with Lanzhou University. He believed that with joint efforts, the cooperation between Aston Business School and LUSM will work well, and could launch the exchange program for ACCA students in the near future.

After the meeting with He Deyan, the delegation met with the school leaders and faculties of accounting, to discuss the details related to the proposed exchange program. In the afternoon, the delegation went to Yuzhong Campus for the program promotion, and Geoff Parkes also delivered a presentation to undergraduates.

Background
      Aston University, founded in 1895, is a public university in the UK. It ranks 29th in the UK (The Guardian, 2017); 2nd in the education quality assessment in the UK in 2016; achieves five star in QS Stars Ratings. Aston Business School has gained the AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA accreditation. In the November of 2016, during the visit of LZU led by the Vice President Xu Shengcheng, Aston University and LZU reached a cooperative intention. Then in March and September of 2017, Aston delegation visited LZU 2 times, and met with LUSM to discuss the details of the programs in common interests.
