Two LUSM Professors Elected as CPAS Council Members

The 7th Congress of Chinese Public Administration Society (CPAS) was held in Beijing on Jan.8, 2019. Xiao Jie, the State Councilor and Secretary-general of the State Council, attended and addressed the meeting. After the congress election, Prof. He Wensheng was elected to be the Executive Council Member, and Prof. Wang Xuejun as the Council Member and Youth Member of the Council. 

CPAS National Members’ Congress is held every five years. The current congress has adopted the Work Report delivered by the ex-chairman Wang Lanming, adopted the Charter of the Chinese Public Administration Society (2019 Revision), and elected new council members and leaders. Prof. Jiang Xiaojuan, the Member of the NPC Standing Committee, the Vice Chairwoman of the NPC Social Development Affairs Committee, and the Dean of School of Public Policy and Management at Tsinghua University, was elected to be the new Chairwoman.

CPAS is a nationwide academic institution, focusing on the research of administrative theories and practices, and providing consulting services for various levels of governments. CPAS receives professional instructions and supervision of General Office of the State Council. The 7th Congress has 363 council members, 104 executive council members and 42 youth members of the council.
