LUSM Team Won the Top Prize of Asia-Pacific Business School Desert Adventure Challenge for Three Consecutive Years
Between May 2-4, the 10th Asia-Pacific Business School Desert Adventure Challenge was held in Tengger Desert, Inner Mongolia. Over 4000 participants from more than 121 schools and universities have attended the event. LZU Eagles Team won the highest honor, the Gull Award for three consecutive years.
2021 meant to be unforgettable. LZU students from all over the country have actively prepared for the competition. Their figures are seen in Lanzhou, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Wuhan. They practiced, persevered and hoped without asking results. 47 members divided into 3 teams gathered in Yinchuan and marched to Tengger led by Mao Qinghua and Zhang Lingling.
In three days, team A and team B needed to trek for 70 kilometers, team C had to finish 36 kilometers and provide logistical support for A and B, which allows them to experience and practice the idea of “environmental protection, cooperation, persistence and responsibility". From the start of the race on May 2 to the close on May 4, the Eagles Team ran in the desert against the wind and sand in the daytime, challenging and surpassing themselves and camped in the desert, enjoying music and the vastness of the sky at night.
Regardless of changeable climate in desert, gale and sand, the legendary slope of despair, and tents that could be blown away at any time, the members advanced to the end where some clapped to celebrate, some hugged and sobbed, the tears were shed for surpassing oneself. LZUer took every step with a good attitude, gave full play to their competitive level and showed the elegant demeanor of the team. With their perseverance and uncompromising spirit, they once again won the highest honor of the competition.
Preserve, the mission will be achieved and the unexpected encounters in life are surprises after your efforts. The wind and sand in the game were baptism before victory. When you fight and everything goes by there will be gentle moonlight ahead.
The competition is a desert hiking event, a party of the participants, a battlefield of challenging oneself, a stage to show the youth, a classroom to study management, a platform to pursue freedom, a mixture of sweat, song, pain and laughter. A group of business elites took the desert as canvas, steps as brushes, spirit as ink and paint a beautiful picture scroll. It is a platform for business schools to display themselves and a perfect answer handed in by MBAer.
The motto of LZU echoes in the mind of every member of the Eagles Team: " To strive unremittingly, to stand out". We still have unlimited possibilities in the future. We hope that the elite students of LZU will continue to strive for self-improvement, challenge themselves, protect the honor of the university, and inherit the charm of her. We look forward to more excellent results in the 11th Challenge.
