On the morning of February 22, the delegation led by Chen Xin, deputy director of the Office of the Coordination Group of the Quality Improvement Project for Enterprise Management Talents and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the Talent Exchange Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, , visited LUSM to research and provide guidance for the implement of the "2022-2023 Leading Talents Training for Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Management" project. Wu Guosheng, permanent vice chairperson of LZU university council, met with the delegation. Liu Yajun, secretary of LUSM CPC Committee, Dean He Wensheng, Chang Tao, associate dean, and heads of relevant departments of the school attended the meeting.

Wu Guosheng, welcomed the guests on behalf of the university, and briefly introduced the history, scale, discipline and programs of Lanzhou University, focusing on the exploration and achievements of LZU's discipline development idea of "rejuvenating  literal arts, refining science, expanding engineering, improving agriculture, and strengthening medicine", its recruitment policies and social services, and said that the university attaches great importance to and fully supports the innovative work of leading talents.

Dean He Wensheng gave a detailed introduction to the history, discipline construction, talent training, scientific research, social services and innovation achievements of LUSM, highlighted the characteristics of the school’s program construction and the achievements in talent cultivation, and focuses on the development of the EDP project and the progress of the project "Regional Development Training for Leading Talents in Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Operation and Management” of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. He said that the cultivation of leading talents should highlight the regional characteristics of northwest and Gansu Province. First, Gansu is the golden section of the "the Belt and Road" Silk Road Economic Belt, and an important gathering center for flow of business, logistics, capital and people; Second, starting from the whole northwest, Gansu is rich in agricultural and mineral resources; Third, Gansu is building three key industrial clusters of new energy, green agriculture and cultural tourism, which can become the carrier and advantage for Gansu enterprises, especially the leading enterprises, to continue to develop.

Chen Xin introduced the background, development process and current scale of the regional development project of small and medium-sized enterprise management leading talent. He stressed that since Lanzhou University has joined the leading talent training team, it should follow the market demand from training services to training and empowerment, continue to gather resources, adhere to the motto of Lanzhou University "To strive unremittingly, to stand out", form the characteristics of Lanzhou University, and provide intellectual support for the transformation and development of small and medium-sized enterprises.

After the meeting, the delegation, accompanied by Secretary Liu Yajun, visited the observing station management center and the history museum of Lanzhou University.
