LUSM’s ISER of AACSB Has Been Officially Approved
The Initial Accreditation Committee (IAC) of AACSB met on November 6, 2019 and voted to officially accept LUSM’s initial Self-Evaluation Report (iSER) submitted on September 15th, which represents an important achievement of the School in AACSB accreditation. This indicates that LUSM’s accreditation mechanism of “to promote the development by the accreditation” and its business education of "root in western China and look to the whole world” have been internationally recognized.

LUSM launched its accreditation in 2013. Since becoming a member of AACSB, it has been highly valued by the whole school. In November 2017, the eligibility application was successfully received by IAC, which kicks off LUSM’s AACSB accreditation process. In 2018, LUSM formed its AACSB core task force and AOL working group. With the guidance of Professor Sarah Dixon, mentor of LUSM, the School self-evaluated itself in accordance with the standards of AACSB accreditation. Based on the School’s mission and vision determination, strategic plans formulation, major adjustment, administrative support strengthening as well as data collection and analysis, LUSM developed its thorough self-evaluation and the final-version’s submitting of iSER went through several discussions and revises.

AACSB Accreditation is a vital approach to enhance LUSM’s core competence in the guidance of its internationalization strategy, as well as a key task in its pilot school reform. It is a common desire of the faculty, staff and students in LUSM to obtain accredited by AACSB as soon as possible. The acceptance of the iSER owes to the active support and participation of the leader team, teachers in core task force and administrative staff, which would contribute a great deal to promoting the school’s development, expanding the international influence of LUSM and LZU, and constructing the high-level university.

In accordance with the feedback suggestions of IAC and in align with LUSM’s mission and vision, LUSM will continue to conduct full justification and integrate resources to pursue an all-round improvement in the teaching, academic research, management, cooperation and other mission-relevant activities. What’s more, the School will lay particular emphasis on the standardization and improvement of its strategic plan, faculty qualification, curriculum management and AOL construction, so as to get well prepared for the iSER Updated Report.
