On the evening of October 28, the launching ceremony of the school 3rd MBA International Business Decision Simulation Competition was held through Tencent Meeting. More than 180 participants attended the ceremony, including Ms. Wu Wen, General Manager of Cesim China; Prof. He Wensheng, Dean of LUSM; Prof. Zhang Ruoyong, Deputy Director of LUSM Professional Education Center; Ms. Fu Ling, Head of Northwest Service Center of Cesim China; Dr. Sun Junqin, representative of instructors, and so on. The ceremony was presided over by Prof. Zhang Ruoyong.

Wu Wen praised LUSM students for their professional and rigorous performance in previous two competitions, and expected students to achieve excellent results in current competition. She looks forward to seeing more MBA students from Lanzhou University on the international stage, and a more in-depth cooperation with LUSM on the new simulation digital platform.

He Wensheng expressed the gratitude to Cesim for its strong support to LUSM in recent years, and welcomed the instructors and the participating students. According to him, the world is undergoing a great change that has not been seen in a century, and coupled with the impact of the pandemic, the whole business environment is facing various new challenges. Under such circumstances, this competition is held to help students improve their insights, judgment and problem-solving skills in the highly simulated business environment, and give full play to the collective power and wisdom of teamwork.

As the representative of instructors, Sun Junqin shared the meaning and value of participating in this competition, combining his own experience. He hoped that students would enjoy the process of learning and thinking as an individual and as a team, practice the LUSM’s mission, and plant a seed for future comprehensive business development enterprises and innovation and entrepreneurship practice.

Li Jianguo and Wang Yuexia, two students of MBA 2021, shared their experiences from their own participation in the 14th National Business Simulation Competition.

Fu Ling introduced the Cesim GlobalChallenge simulation platform used in the competition and explained the main procedures and matters need attention. She highlighted that the ESG module will be added to the competition platform, and based on the previous two events, this year will focus on the combination of competition and education, and two themes of "Strategic Planning" and "Financial Analysis" will be arranged during the official round of GC simulation. She looked forward to seeing the excellent performance from all students.

In the training process of professional degree students, LUSM pays attention to the combination of theoretical knowledge and management practice, and actively builds a collaborative education platform for the integration of industry and education. The launching ceremony was successfully concluded with the positive and enthusiastic interaction of the students. The competition aims to improve the students' ability to analyze and make decisions on multinational business decisions through real situations, and builds an interactive platform for MBA students, which is not only a good extension of practical teaching, but also a useful supplement to classroom learning.
