Notice on the MBA and IMBA Program Application
Why School of Management Lanzhou University?
Founded in 1909 and located in Lanzhou, the capital city of Gansu Province, Lanzhou University is one of the key universities under the Ministry of Education, China. Lanzhou University is also supported by the National 985 Project and 211 Project. Since 1999, already 7 of the alumni have been selected as member of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences or Chinese Academy of Natural Sciences. In 1995, 13 Chinese universities were selected as the most Prominent universities in China by Science Magazine and, once again, Lanzhou University ranked sixth in this category.
As the only comprehensive management school of the comprehensive universities listed in 985 Project, School of Management Lanzhou University provides four first-grade disciplines of management. With the excellent faculty, first-class facilities, School of Management is well regarded as the cradle of top-level executives and academic elites. Since 1997, School of Management was authorized as one of 34 colleges that can determine their own admission requirements for MBA programs. MBA, IMBA as well as EMBA are operated both in Lanzhou Campus and Shenzhen Campus.
Objectives of the MBA and IMBA Program
The MBA program aims to train the top-level executives who are familiar with modern management theories and tools and also be with international vision, civil spirits, and innovative abilities.
The IMBA program aims to train the international professional executives who are familiar with international management and cross culture with innovative abilities and excellent leadership.

Requirements of Admission
A. Citizen of People’s Republic of China.
B. Advocating the leadership of CPC and willing to devote to the socialism development.
C. (1). Under 40 years old (been given birth after 31st August, 1971).
(2). No age limitations for students who enrolled by contract or are self-founded.
D. Conformity both with the national health standard and health requirements set by Lanzhou University.
E. All applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
(1). Undergraduates with a bachelor’s degree must have a minimum of 2 years’ work experience.
(2). Applicants who attended 3-year college must have a minimum of 5 years’ work experience, and must pass the additional admission tests to demonstrate their qualifications of the same education level with undergraduates with a bachelor’s degree.
(3). Applicants with a master’s degree or PhD degree must have a minimum of 2 years’ work experience.

B. Register at register department of Lanzhou University. Applicants who wish to take the admission tests in Guangzhou should remarks on the online application.
C. Confirmation on campus (location and time to be determined)

B. Interviews
(1). Time: April, 2011.
(2). Location: Management School of Lanzhou University or MBA center of Lanzhou University in Shenzhen
Notice: Applicants who apply to Management School as their fists choice must pass the admission tests to get an opportunity to receive an interview. Applicants who fail the interview can transfer their application to an alternative MBA or IMBA program in another institute.
Admission and Duration
A. 3 categories of admission: enrolment by contract full time self-founded and part time self-founded.
B. The duration of full time MBA and IMBA is 2 years. All the courses will be taught only in English. About 60 applicants will be admitted in full time MBA and IMBA program. Tuition for these two entire programs is 50,000 RMB.
C. The duration of part time (weekends and nights) MBA is 3 years, and the tuition of this program is 30,000 RMB. Student can choose to consume this program either in Lanzhou or in Shenzhen.
D. The programs include course learning, internship and dissertation.
