Yang Shu used to be deputy secretary of party committee and vice president of Lanzhou University. He is now director of Central Asia Institute. He is standing director of China’s International Relationship Institute and Russian, Eastern Europe and Central Asia Institute and Shanghai Cooperation Organization research center. He is also senior advisor of Shanghai Cooperation Organization and vice president of International Politics Research Institute for Higher Education. He is appointed as educational expert by Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
