LUSM PhD Candidates Awarded Paper Prize in the Chinese Public Administration 2019 Annual Meeting
From October 11 to 13, the Chinese Public Administration 2019 Annual Meeting and the 5th Young Scholars Forum in Public Administration was held at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). The event was hosted by Public Administration Committee and Youth Working Committee of Chinese Academy of Management and organized by College of Public Administration, HUST. Over 200 experts and scholars from more than 70 universities across the country attended the conference, including Tsinghua University, Peking University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Sun Yat-sen University, Lanzhou University, Renmin University of China, and so on. The theme of the conference was Public Administration and Policy Innovation in Intelligent Era.
During the conference, participants communicated and discussed on such topics as theory and practice of public administration, transformation and innovation of public governance, digital transformation of government, cyberspace governance, public policy innovation & policy diffusion and public service innovation in 24 sessions. After strict selections, 9 papers won excellent paper awards, including two PhD candidates from LUSM, namely Bin Guan, the first prize winner and Qingchuan Liu, the second prize winner, both under the supervision of Prof. Bao Guoxian.
Chinese Public Administration Annual Meeting and the Young Scholars Forum in Public Administration is an annual academic activity hosted by Public Administration Committee and Youth Working Committee of Chinese Academy of Management. It is an academic community with young scholars as the main body and is one of the most influential academic meeting in public administration field which provides a high-level dialogue platform for young scholars and aims to promote and deepen communication, enhance research cooperation and elevate research level of the discipline.
