Recently, the 16^th Excellent Achievement Award in Philosophy and Social Science of Gansu Province was announced. Research outputs of LUSM during 1^st January 2018 and 31^st December 2019 have won one first prize, four second prizes and two third prizes.

The awards have demonstrated high-quality research strength and theory level of LUSMers and will motivate faculty and students to carry out scientific research and thus boost the development of the school.

The Excellent Achievement Award in Philosophy and Social Sciences of Gansu Province is set up by provincial party committee and the government. It is the highest and the only provincial award in philosophy and social sciences which evaluate monographs, research reports and papers in economics, sociology, law, Chinese literature and other disciplines. The purpose is to reward the collective and individuals who have made contributions to the research of philosophy and social sciences in Gansu Province, to fully mobilize and develop the enthusiasm and creativity of researchers in the fields, and to promote the prosperity and development of relevant disciplines in Gansu.
