To further deepen the reform of training mode of professional degree education with integration between industry and education, and promote its high-quality development, LUSM has organized a seminar on January 20^th, and held the appointment ceremony of advisors from the industry. LZU vice president Pan Baotian, leadership from Graduate School, 27 advisors, deans and faculty representatives of LUSM attended the event which was chaired by LUSM party secretary Liu Yajun.

President Pan welcomed and thanked the advisors. He introduced the basic situation of LZU and LUSM and required all advisors to adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, stick to their ideals and beliefs, follow the laws of postgraduate education and talent development, abide by academic standard and professional ethics, and conscientiously perform their duties, give full play to the advantages of the industry, carry out high-quality practical courses and activities, provide in-depth guidance and valuable experience, and further improve the quality of professional degree education.   

Wang Feng, party secretary of Gansu Railway Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd, Zhao Sibei, general manager of the Silk Road Infoport Co., Ltd, Liu Lishan, chief accountant of Second Affiliated Hospital of LZU represented advisors and delivered their speeches. They agreed that being an advisor is an honor, but also a responsibility and a challenge. The advisors will integrate into their new roles as soon as possible, give full play to their practical management experience and industry advantages, fulfill their responsibilities and cooperate with others to make contributions to the development of Lanzhou University and the School of Management. 

He Wensheng, dean of LUSM said in his speech that at present, professional degree education is facing both new challenges and new opportunities. Deepening the integration of industry and education is an inevitable choice for the high-quality development of professional education, an important path for which to actively serve the construction of an innovative country, and also the focus of the future development of its reform. LUSM is looking forward to working together with all the advisors from the industry for common development, making great contributions to the professional degrees education in China, and contributing to the construction of "Double First-class" of LZU and the high-quality development of the LUSM. 

After the appointment ceremony, the guests communicated and discussed on the topics of mechanism of university-government-enterprise collaborative education model, reconstruction of working relationship among university, government and enterprise, talent training demand and construction of course system under the background of integration between industry and education. The seminar was hosted by professor Wu Jianzu, associate dean of LUSM.  

In 2021, LUSM has employed 48 advisors from the industry for professional degree students, including 23 for MBA, 9 for MPA and 16 for MPAcc. The advisors will participate in the curriculum construction, professional practice, employment guidance and career development, assist in the professional education, promote the integration of enterprises; universities and research institutions, and effectively improve the quality of talent training of the school.
