LZU Won ACCA Excellent University Award 2022

On January 6, 2023, the 13th ACCA Forum for Education and Seminar on Establishing the ACCA Digital Talent Development Center was held in Haikou City. The event was sponsored by ACCA, hosted by the Management School of Hainan University, the Institute for Sino-foreign Accounting Exchange, Hainan University, and supported by the Hainan Institute of Certified Public Accountants. At the event, the list of "ACCA Excellent Universities" in 2022 was announced, and Lanzhou University was on it.

This event aimed to share the professional insight report of the development of ACCA intelligent financial education, announcing the establishment of ACCA Digital Intelligence Talent Development Center, invite universities to share the practice and thinking of digital intelligence reform, employers to share the cutting-edge application of digital technology and how to effectively empower the professional field of finance and accounting, and provide opportunities for universities and employers to discuss the needs of ACCA digital intelligence talents and the to cooperate on it. The ACCA Excellent Universities Awards 2022 were presented at the event. A total of 16 universities were selected, including Xi 'an Jiaotong University, Central University of Finance and Economics, Sichuan University, Shandong University and Lanzhou University. Associate Professor Wang Lei, Head of the Accounting Department of LUSM and head of the ACCA Office received the award online on behalf of the school.

Since the set-up of the ACCA program at the school , it has won many honors such as "Outstanding University of the Year" and "Outstanding Contribution" award. The award is an affirmation of the school in the field of ACCA education. LUSM will continue to combine the characteristics of accounting program, focusing on the enhancement of students' ability, the empowerment of digital technology and the integration of production and education, in order to cultivate high-end undergraduate accounting professionals to adapt to the development of the new era.
