On May 18, Lanzhou University School of Management Guangdong Alumni Association was established in Shenzhen, which provides alumni with a communication platform and an opportunity for lifelong learning.

The Dean of School of Mangement Bao Buoxian presented the plaque and the flag for the first Guangdong Alumni Association inaugural meeting and delivered a speech at the meeting. Over hundred representatives of the Guangdong Alumni Association attended the meeting with representatives from more than twenty university alumni associations coming to congratulate the establishment of the alumni association. Zhao Ping, secretary of CPC Committee of LUSM presided over the meeting.

Lanzhou University School of Management has started the Guangdong MPA Program since 2004 and the MBA Program began recruiting students in 2005. Since then, the MBA/MPA Program in Guangdong has recruited over 2000 talents. With other graduates and undergraduate of LUSM, the number of Guangdong alumni has amounted to 2500.
