On June 1, over 300 faculties and students from School of Management participated in the 2014 Lanzhou International Marathon.

The race began at 8 :00 in the moring. The faculties and students of the School took part in the 5km jogging. Although it was only 5 km, all the School participants in green T-shirt and sunhat with School logo were ready to start and experience this international event. The highest temperature was up to 35℃, however, everyone kept running under the scorching sun, which reflected  the positive attitude and determined spirit of the School of Management. During the competition, the team held the School slogan "The learning of management is the learning heading for success", showing the  spiritual outlook of contemporary university students.

Students of the School registered the marathon race spontaneously with teachers leading the team, which was  one of the several events of  the 10th Anniversary of the School of Management, aiming to cultivate the youth’s qualities of perseverance and endeavor, raise their awareness of competitiveness and cooperation, and improve the interpersonal relationship. It is hoped that this activity could deepen students’ understanding of worldview and lifeoutlook, which would lay the foundation for entering the society and serving the society in thefuture.
