Dean of Huxley College of the Environment Western Washington University Visited School of Management

On the morning of 18 Oct. 2016 Steven Hollenhorst, Dean of Huxley College of the Environment, Western Washington University (WWU) visited our school and met with heads and staff of our school. Prof. Jianzu Wu, assistant to the dean, Prof. Xiaodong Guo and Xiangdong Wang from Resource and Environmental Management and Sustainable Development Institute and staff from global cooperation office attended the meeting.

Prof. Jianzu Wu firstly introduced the basic information of school of management and then focused on the research orientation, faculty & student and discipline construction of Resource and Environmental Management and Sustainable Development Institute. Dean Hollenhorst introduced the basic information of WWU and gave details of advantage and results achieved by Huxley College of the Environment in scientific research and discipline construction. Later, the two parties discussed projects and fields in which cooperation can be carried out and has reached intent and agreement on cooperation in aspects such as joint research, short-term student exchange program, exchange of faculties and discipline construction. The two parties agreed to sign the intent soon.

Dean Hollenhorst has also given two lectures on environmental policy and renewable energy to faculty and students of School of Management, Lanzhou University.

Background Link: Western Washington University is a famous public university in US which is located in Bellingham, north of Seattle. Huxley College of the Environment was founded in 1969 and is the first US college which focus on study of environment.
