EMBA Students Completed the “Industry 4.0” Tour Study in Germany
On April 22, 2017, 32 EMBA students arrived in Germany and started the 15-day tour study. RWTH Aachen University offered a series of excellent courses to the group, which is well-known not only in Germany but also in the whole world.
The study focused on “Industry 4.0”, adopting the methods of lectures and company visits to enhance the learning process. Torben Schmitz, Frederick Sauermann, and Sven Cremer, experts on “Industry 4.0”from Aachen University and Fraunhofer Institute, gave several lectures to the group, including Industry 4.0-Aachen University Perspective, Intellectual Products, Industry 4.0 & Learning –oriented Enterprises, LP & Industry 4.0, Maturity Model of Industry 4.0, and Production System 4.0. During the lectures, the teachers and students had fruitful communications on various subjects regarding “Industry 4.0”. Besides, they also visited the production and processing system.
During the courses
On April 27, the group visited BASF, the renowned and leading chemical enterprise in the world, to learn the application of Industry 4.0 in the running and innovation process. On April 28, the group visited Mercedes-Benz and its production line. The success of these first level enterprises impresses the students in every detail.

Since the concept of “Industry 4.0” was put forward in Germany, the current tour study has given all students the opportunity to learn authentic Industry 4.0, which equipped them with advanced knowledge as well as international horizon.
