The 2018 EMBA Training Program Successfully Completed in Switzerland
From Sept.30 to Oct.11, 20 EMBA students and 4 faculties have been in Switzerland to participate in the “Lean Manufacturing and Innovation” Training Program hosted by School of Business, University of Applied Scientific Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW).
By welcomed by the Director Ruedi Nützi, who delivered remarks on the first day of the Program, the cohort then spent the following days to learn more of Switzerland on its leading lean manufacturing and scientific innovation. Prof. Jürg Schneider, Prof. Peter Abplanalp, and Prof. Michael Jeive presented to the cohort on various topics around the theme, including the history and politics, competitiveness, innovation, etc. Beside the lectures and group discussions in classroom, the cohort also availed the opportunity to visit some representative and leading enterprises in Switzerland, including Park InnovAare, ABB, Omega, Synthes, Titoni, Jowissa, Victorinox, etc.
When the cohort arrived in Olten, it happened to be the National Holiday of China. FHNW prepared a cake to celebrate, making all students and faculties feel at home. Over the past few days, the cohort could get to know the distinctiveness of the lean manufacture and innovation in various aspects in Switzerland.
