LUSM Attended the 15th Chinese AMBA and BGA Business Schools Capacity Building Webinar

On March 26th, the 15th Chinese AMBA&BGA Business Schools Capacity Building Webinar, organized by Zhejiang University's Global Entrepreneurship Research Center (GERC) and the Silk-Road Entrepreneurship Education Network (SREEN) was held online. Prof. Dr. HE Wensheng, dean of LUSM was invited to attend and deliver a speech. Themed on “new strategies of program construction”, the webinar attracts 172 delegates from business schools in China.

Prof. WANG Zhongming, international advisor for China of AMBA&BGA, and the director of GERC, explained specifically the program construction and curriculum upgrading, business education remodel, key tasks of capacity building, responsible management, and sustainable development, reviewed new progress on the strategy of internationalization, and introduced the planning and proposed the prospects in the fields of international accreditation and capacity building for the year 2022.

During the webinar, HE Wensheng, dean of LUSM, YANG Jun, dean of the School of Economics and Business Administration of Chongqing University, WEI Hang, dean of the College of Business of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, HUO Baofeng, Director of Tianjin University CoME, ZHOU Haiwei, dean of the Business School of Hohai University, and ZHU Wenzhong, dean of the School of Business of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, delivered speeches in turn, sharing their features and advantages in institution operation, innovation practices, and construction reflections.

During the webinar, the participants discussed in-depth the topics of "green development", "school-enterprise cooperation" and "interdisciplinary integration", and also exchanged and shared their views on practices of recent campus epidemic prevention and control, online teaching, and new teaching model exploration, and expressed their concern among peers.

Overcoming the difficulties together needs business schools to take the lead in action. Through keynote speech delivery, peer discussion, and practices sharing, the webinar established a demonstration platform of program construction, teaching innovation, and experience exchange for business schools in China, which played a positive role in promoting LUSM’s digital strategy application, and the development of green and sustainable management education.

The Chinese Capacity Building Workshops are a series of workshops designed to support the continuous improvement of Chinese Business Schools within the BGA Network by leveraging BGA’s extensive network of professionals to share, discuss, and debate best practices and ideas. Since BGA accreditation resumed in 2019, the workshop has been quarterly held 15 times, making it a high-end platform free to attend and suitable for trends understanding, experience exchange, and best practices sharing of accreditation for business school professionals and teaching faculty.
