Two Cases Accepted by MOE Degree Center

Recently, China Academic Degrees & Graduate Education Development Center and China Professional Degree Case Center released the result of 2021 case application. 5 cases of LZU were accepted, including two of LUSM faculty. The project of Prof. Lang Mei’s team was accepted by “common prosperity” and that of associate prof. Cui Ming’ s team was approved by “rural vitalization”.

The team led by associate professor Cui Ming, with the title of "case study on leading dairy enterprises in western China driving industrial development and assisting rural revitalization", takes Gansu Hualing Dairy Co., Ltd. as the research object, reveals the characteristics and working mechanism of the company's business ecological evolution at different development stages, constructs original theories, and provides theoretical guidance for the development of regional leading enterprises in China.

Professor Lang Mei’s team discussed the relationship between the scale of transfer payment, the administrative power, financial power and the rigidity of administrative power of local government under the title of "innovating and building a road of common prosperity driven by finance - difficulties and ideas from Northwest China", and took this as the starting point to study the construction path of common prosperity caused by the modernization of financial system in Northwest China. 

Case teaching is an important way of practice teaching for professional degree students. LUSM has always attached importance to case development and case teaching. Since 2020, 4 theme cases have been accepted by MOE. In 2020, the cases of professor Wang Xuejun and Shan Feifei's team were approved by the theme of "prevention and control of COVID-19 " and "poverty relief". With the continuous deepening of the reform of professional degree education in the new era, the school actively organized the construction of case base, encouraged faculty to carry out case teaching and put original cases into curriculum, gradually formed the characteristics of professional education, and has provided important support and guarantee for further improving the quality of professional talent training.
