On March 2nd, 2024, jointly organized by the School of Management, Zhejiang University of Technology (ZJUTSM), Zhejiang University's Global Entrepreneurship Research Center (GERC), Silk-Road Entrepreneurship Education Network (SREEN), and Zhejiang Behavioral Science Society, the 25th AMBA and BGA Business School Capacity Building Workshop was held in Hangzhou. Delegates from more than 50 universities and institutions in China gathered at the workshop to discuss leadership and development and strategic action plans for business and management schools. Prof. Wu Jianzu, associate dean of LUSM, Prof. Zhang Ruoyong, deputy director of the Professional Degree Education Center of LUSM were invited to attend.

At the opening ceremony, Prof. Chen Yao, vice president of Zhejiang University of Technology, Prof. Wang Zhongming, Senior Professor of Liberal Arts and the director of GERC and SREEN of Zhejiang University, delivered welcome speeches successively. Yang Zhi, dean of the School of Management, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Li Zhengwei, Secretary of ZJUTSM CPC Committee presented keynote speeches, and Yu Rongjian, dean, Wang Xiaoyi, associate dean of ZJUTSM, Liang Qiang, dean of the School of Business, Shantou University, Liu Chuan, dean of the School of Economics and Management, Dongguan University of Technology made thematic reports respectively.

During the round-table sessions, more than 20 leaders from renowned management and business schools discussed and exchanged views on topics of “Capacity Building of MBA Programs in Schools of Economics and Management”, “Construction of Model Courses and Sample Programs”, and “Construction of SREEN Platforms” with the chair of Prof. Wang Zhongming. At the relevant session, Prof. Wu Jianzu shared LUSM’s experience and practices on its internationalization of the School and the construction of SREEN Lanzhou Platform, and introduced the achievements and advantages of disciplines of LZU in promoting the B&R civilization exchange and mutual understanding.

Prof. Wang Zhongming concluded the workshop. He emphasized in his speech the significance of high-quality development in the field of education, congratulated the success of the workshop, and put forward the idea of working on the development and selection of cases on green management and responsible management.

The workshop provided a demonstration platform for Chinese peers in business education with the theme of high-quality development, which plays a positive role in promoting LUSM’s high-quality development and the construction of its work in international accreditation.
