On the morning of July 19th, the signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation between LUSM, LUSE and and the Survey Office of the National Bureau of Statistics in Gansu (hereafter “the Survey Office”), together with the internship base inauguration ceremony, was held. LIU Yajun, Secretary of LUSM CPC Committee, MA Longquan, Secretary of LUSE CPC Committee, HE Wensheng, Dean of LUSM and LUSE, HAO Shenglong, General Director, PENG Guoqiang, member of the Party Leadership Group and the Deputy General Director, XU Yinghua, Secondary-level Inspector of the Survey Office, as well as leaders from both parties, department heads, and representative interns attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by PENG Guoqiang.

On behalf of the Survey Office, HAO Shenglong welcomed the delegation. He sincerely looked forward to the two sides in future collaboration in the fields of internship base construction, statistical research cooperation, joint training, party building co-construction and other aspects of the continued advancement. He quoted that taking talent as boat and research as sail, the two sides could jointly writing a new chapter of the times on the vast land of Gansu.

On behalf of the faculty and students of the LUSM and LUSE, HE Wensheng expressed his gratitude to the Survey Office for the long-term care and support given to the career development and talent cultivation of the two schools. He briefly outlined the development of the two schools over the past 20 years since their establishment, emphasized the characteristics and disciplinary advantages of the schools, and highlighted the practical demand for scientific research and talent cultivation in practical training activities. He hopes that future collaboration can fully leverage the practical strengths of the Survey Office and the academic advantages in talent cultivation and scientific research of the two schools, and continuously deepening comprehensive cooperation between both sides, to achieve fruitful results in business training, projects study, talent development, internships, and practical training.

LIU Yajun and MA Longquan, on behalf of LUSM and LUSE respectively, presented student internship base plaques to the Survey Office of the National Bureau of Statistics in Gansu.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the workpalces of the Survey Office. This visit further familiarized them with the work status of the Survey Office and facilitated in-depth communication and exchange on cooperation matters.

It is known that the construction of student internship bases, one of the strategic cooperation initiatives between both parties, has been launched in advance with notable achievements. The Survey Office has released 62 internship positions to LUSM and LUSE, and the registration and placement of interns have been completed. What’s more, plans for staff training and joint party-building activities have also been agreed upon and are currently being implemented. In the future, the both sides will actively promote and comprehensively implement the strategic cooperation memorandum, striving for complementary advantages and mutual benefit.
