The 5th “Campus CEO Contest” Came to a Successful End
At 9 a.m., May 24th 2009, the 5th final “Campus CEO Contest” by School of Management Lanzhou University began at Room A506.
After the fierce preliminary and quarter-final contests, Han Liyun from School of Liberal Arts, Wang Xue from School of Economics, Guo Yi from School of Foreign Languages, Fan Miaomiao and Shi Jie from School of Management of the2008 grade, as well as Ma Xiaolong from School of History of the 2007 grade entered the final competition. Four graduate students from School of Management, Liu Zhijun, Zhang Xiaolan, Hu Jialin and Rong Jun assumed the responsibility of judge. This contest attracted wide participation on the whole campus.
The final contest consisted of two rounds of “Deep Speculation” and “Time of Crisis”. In the first round, candidates showed the audience and judges their research results by carefully made PowerPoint. In the second round, the candidate chose one case and from the standpoint of a CEO, expounded managerial strategy with regard to the crisis of enterprise in 8minutes. This round fully displayed their relevant knowledge on crisis management and their competence of grasping details and analyzing problems at large.
In the end, the senior graduate student Liu Junzhi made wonderful comments on the contest.
