At 6:30 p.m. of June 2nd, the summarization and communication meeting on “marketing practice drill” was held by the class of  marketing 2007 in Room 205, Building A in the east of Yuzhong Campus, where the head teacher Su Yun was invited.

This activity was proposed by Mr. Su, planned meticulously by the Youth League members, with the active participation and cooperation by other classmates, and passed by all students by voting. After ten years of design and market research, the scheme was set on the 19th. From the 21st, ten-day intense selling began. Under Mr. Su’s careful guidance and students’ joint efforts, the task at this time was fully completed. There were two aims in this summarization and communication meeting. One was to declare the end on the “marketing practice drill” activity and the other was for students to share with each other the experience they attained, so that they could learn from each other and make progress together.

The whole meeting consisted of three phases. The first one is for conclusion. The League Branch Secretary first made a brief introduction and conclusive analysis. He announced that Ma Zengchao’s group won the first place by the achievements of selling 72 pieces of articles and gaining a profit of 89 RMB. This group was granted 200 RMB as an award. Meanwhile, Yang Yalong’s group won the prize of Best Design and 50 RMB as an award. Then, Mr. Su commented this activity. He expressed praise on students’ excellent performance and affirmation to their achievement. He also pointed out their shortcomings and hoped that students could further expand this activity to make more mature the selling mode which they have been familiar with. At the end of this phase, representative from each group made a conclusion. The second phase is communication where Li Wenyang talked about his feelings and experiences in this activity from the roles of League Branch Secretary, manager in chief, marketing researcher, store-keeper and seller respectively. And other students followed to talk about their feelings and ideas. In the third phase, all students took the picture with the head teacher. The summarization and communication meeting ended successfully.

In this activity, students were congratulated on their wonderful results and shared precious experiences with each other. They were provided with a chance to experience marketing and to gain experience in practice and learn knowledge. This activity laid a foundation for students’ later study and being employed. Meanwhile, it enhanced cohesion in one class.
