Dean He Wensheng visits Jack Welch College of Business, Sacred Heart University
On Oct. 19th, Dean He Wensheng visited Jack Welch College of Business (JWCB), Sacred Heart University (SHU) in USA at the invitation of Dean John Chalykoff of JWCB and held talks with John Chalykoff, Cristina Micu, Associate Dean of JWCB, Kwamie O. Dunbar, Associate Dean of JWCB, Grace Chun Guo, Academic director of MBA project of JWCB, Lucjan T. Orlowski, Director of DBA project of JWCB, Khawaja A. Mamun, Associate Dean of School of Computing Science and Engineering of SHU.
During the talk, Dean He gave a detailed introduction of LUSM’s current situation of development and discipline construction. The two sides also exchanged views on such issues as EDP, MBA students of LUSM exchange at Luxemburg Campus of JWCB, faculty communication and cooperative scientific research, and achieved a consensus of cooperation and formed a preliminary work plan. Besides, he also learned more about the situation and curriculum of DBA program of JWCB, and their referable experience in collaborating with enterprises to educate innovative talents that meet the needs of the job market.
After the talk, Dean He met Professor Rupendra Paliwal, Vice Chancellor and Dean of SHU, and Professor Michael P. Alfano, Dean of Isabelle Farrington College of Education and introduced to them the history, discipline development and international cooperation of LZU. Rupendra Paliwal suggested that on the basis of current cooperation of LUSM and JWCB, the both sides should deepen practical cooperation, expand the cooperation to wider fields and push forward the scope and content of cooperation to a new level.
In addition, accompanied by John Chalykoff, Dean He visited the main campus, newly-built West Campus and hotel of SHU, Building of JWCB and its classrooms for executive training.
Dean He’s visit is an extension of the previous exchanges and cooperation between the two sides, deepening mutual understanding, which plays a vital role in enhancing mutual trust, expanding cooperation areas, strengthening cooperation relations and promoting mutual comprehensive cooperation.
