On June 8th, LUSM delegation including Liu Yajun, party secretary, Dean He Wensheng and heads of relevant offices led by Li Yumin, vice president of LZU visited the Silk Road Infoport Co., Ltd and held the signing ceremony of strategic cooperation agreement and awarded the plaque of teaching and training base to the company. The school’s counterpart consisted of Zhao Sibei, deputy party secretary and general manager, Guo Liping and Lu Jiqing, vice general manager, Liu Chunyu, secretary of commission for discipline inspection, Huo Zhaoli, CFO. The two parts discussed the all-round strategic cooperation in discipline construction, scientific research, talent training, social services, decision-making consultation, faculty sharing, base construction and informationization construction.

Mr. Zhao extended welcome to LUSM visitors and gave a detailed introduction of his company. He said that Infoport is a leading enterprise in data and information area in Gansu Province, taking the responsibility and mission of building a digital Gansu and developing digital economy. It is also the master of chain of industrial internet, big data and cyber security. The company has researched and established comprehensive information platforms like provincial industrial internet platform, cloud service platform for digital agriculture in rural areas, supply chain financial platform, built a data information industrial park and data operation center with the size of over 6500 m2, which could provide full service to incubation of innovative technology enterprises, transformation of technological achievement, display of technological products and integrated operation of data resources. The next plan of the company is to build bases of digital training for party and government cadres in Gansu, innovation and entrepreneurship training for college students, science popularization for primary and middle school students. Mr. Zhao hopes that the two sides could work together in various fields and cultivate high-quality talents needed by the development of digital economy, and build up leading talents and teams in the field.

Vice president Li Yumin introduced the basic situation of Lanzhou University, its leading subjects and its key strategic position in the national pattern of higher education. He said that in recent years, LZU has attached great importance to scientific research and achieved fruitful results in the fields of "industry-university-research" cooperation, transformation of scientific research achievements, and strengthening of personnel training. LUSM has a complete range of management subjects, strong faculty and first-class teaching facilities. It is an important cradle for training senior management talents and academic elites in the western region. It is hoped that LUSM and the Infoport will give full play to their respective advantages, expand cooperation possibilities, serve the national strategy and local economy, and strive to make the base excellent and practical and become a model.

The establishment of the teaching and training base is an important measure taken by LUSM and leading enterprises to build an integrated education platform of industry-university-research, which will further promote the high-quality connotative development of the school’s talent cultivation. This signing of agreement will be a new opportunity for both sides to jointly build the teaching and training base, make full use of their respective advantages, seize the development opportunities of the Belt and Road Initiative, and strive to make greater contributions to the construction of digital Gansu and promote economic development.
