Delegation from COLA Visited LUSM
On the morning of June 23, the delegation from College of Local Administration, Khon Kaen University (hereafter “COLA”), led by Dean Sirisak Laochankham, Associate Dean Grichawat Lowatcharin, and Assistant Dean Panpun Ronghanam, visited LUSM and met with Dean HE Wensheng, Associate Dean WU Jianzu, ZHANG Guoxing, and staff of related office. The visit was coincided with LUSM’s 20th Anniversary Conference and the Forum on Discipline Construction and High-Quality Development of Public Administration and Business Administration in the New Era aiming to further strengthen academic exchange and cooperation between the two institutions.
During the meeting, the two sides introduced the progress on their recent development and main initiatives. Prof. HE Wensheng warmly welcomed the delegation led by Dean Sirisak Laochankham, emphasizing the significance of collaboration between the two institutions for promoting their development. He expressed his desire to deepen cooperation with COLA, hoping that more substantial results could be achieved in collaborative research, joint international conferences, and short-term student and faculty exchanges. Dean Sirisak Laochankham highly praised LUSM’s achievements, and introduced COLA’s features and advantages in education, research, and social services. He expressed his anticipation for broader and deeper cooperation with LUSM in the future.
Subsequently, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on collaborative research, joint international conferences, and joint short-term projects, reaching preliminary consensus in several areas. They agreed to further refine the cooperation plan and promote the implementation of various collaborations. Additionally, the two sides conducted extensive discussions regarding the renewal of the cooperation agreement.
The visit not only deepened the understanding and friendship between the two institutions but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation. LUSM and COLA will continue to uphold the principles of openness, cooperation, and win-win, sharing partner networks, promoting regional collaboration, strengthening communication and exchange with universities in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS), and jointly promoting the flourishing development of management disciplines.
