A Visit by Business School of University of Aberdeen

On the morning of September 9th, Joyce Chen, Director of Internationalization at Business School of University of Aberdeen, visited LUSM for a discussion on the joint degree program. The meeting was attended by ZHAO Yanhai, LUSM Associate Dean; BAO Haixu, Senior Administrator of Internationalization and Professional Degree Education; and staff from the International Cooperation Office. Also present were SU Lijuan, Head of the Finance Department in the School of Economics (SOE); LIANG Haibing, Head of the Economics Department of SOE; and staff from the Teaching and Development Center of SOE.

During the meeting, Joyce Chen highlighted Aberdeen Business School’s achievements in international education, its rich educational resources, and its unique academic strengths. She expressed the eagerness to collaborate with the School of Management and the School of Economics to develop a joint program that fosters global perspectives and high-quality education, providing students with wider opportunities for growth and advanced studies. ZHAO presented an overview of the school’s profile and international cooperation experience, emphasizing the significance of this collaboration with Aberdeen Business School for enhancing the school’s educational quality and broadening student perspectives. SU and LIANG shared insights on their student exchange programs. During the meeting, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on the specific implementation plan for the collaborative program, reaching a preliminary consensus and reaffirming their commitment to steadily advance all aspects of the program according to the established schedule.

This meeting not only deepened the understanding and trust among 3 schools, but also laid a solid foundation for a new chapter in international education collaboration. Both parties will continue to maintain close communication, refine the partnership plan, and ensure the smooth progress of the exchange program, jointly cultivating highly skilled talents with global competitiveness and perspectives.
