On Nov.20, 2018, the Advisory Committee for Policy Decision of Gansu Provincial People’s Government set sail in Lanzhou, by convening its founding meeting and the first plenary meeting. The Committee serves as the think tank for the policy decision-making of Gansu Provincial People’s Government. Prof. Bao Guoxian, also the Honorary Dean of LUSM, has been appointed as the Head for Government Efficiency and Business Environment Panel. 

Tang Renjian, the Deputy Secretary of CPC Gansu Provincial Committee and Governor of Gansu Province, delivered a speech on the meeting and issue appointment letters to members of the Committee. Tang said that the founding of the Committee is considered to be the initiative of implementing the policies and requirements from the Party’s Central Committee, the response to the new challenges embedded in the new era, and the current needs to facilitating the green growth in Gansu Province. According to Tang, the Committee is expected to stand on the current provincial conditions, take the general development into account, and focus on the urgent issues and problems during the development. With open view, innovative spirit and diligent attitude, Tang hopes that the Committee could play its intellectual role well, by carrying out research and investigation deeply and offering suggestions and advices actively, for a better future of Gansu Province.
